Exhibition Opening: April 14, Monday, 18:00

Ark Kültür exhibits the work of graphic designers Pablo Martin and Astrid Stavro from Spain within the context of “Grafist 18: 18th Graphic Design Days” organized by Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Graphic Design Department between 14th April-18th May.

Astrid Stavro is a Palma de Mallorca based graphic designer and educator.Astrid Stavro graduated with distinction from both Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design and The Royal College of Art in London, before relocating to Barcelona where she founded the Astrid Stavro Studio. Her work has been widely published and exhibited and she is a frequent Jury Member in design competitions across the globe. Stavro has lectured in design conferences and has taught editorial design in various colleges. Her work has received over one hundred creative awards, including D&AD, Design Week Awards, The Annual, ISTD, ADCNY, Graphis, TDCNY, ADC*E and Laus Awards amongst many others. Stavro writes for various design journals and is currently a contributing editor of Elephant magazine. She is a member of AGI.

Pablo Martín is a Palma de Mallorca based graphic designer and educator.Pablo Martín studied graphic design at Eina Design School in Barcelona, where he has taught typography for over 15 years. He worked for Eskenazi & Asociados and for Vignelli Associates in New York before co-founding the award winning studio, Grafica, alongside Fernando Gutiérrez in 1993. Grafica’s work has been recognised nationally and internationally with awards and certificates from Laus Awards, British Design & Art Directors, The Annual (Creative Review), Art Directors Club of New York, Type Directors Club of New York, Art Directors Club of Europe, Society of Publications Designers, Society of News Design, Donside Design Awards and the Society of Typographic Designers. He is a member of AGI.
